Church’s Chicken

Event Activation, Social, Video, Real-time Response, Interactive Video

The senior class of 2020 wasn’t able to walk the graduation stage because of COVID. But that didn’t mean Church’s couldn’t celebrate their momentous accomplishments.

We gave 3 deserving high school seniors a surprise graduation ceremony in the Church’s drive-thru complete with personalized menu boards and signage, socially distanced friends and family and their high school principal working the pickup window. Oh, and a donation to go towards their college education.

Camp Smokehouse: Finder’s Keepers

To celebrate the launch of Church’s Campfire Smokehouse Chicken, we created an interactive backyard campsite filled with real prizes. Using 360 video and real-time community management, fans had to explore the campsite and solve riddles to win each item. With no paid promotion, the 3-hour activation earned some of the best results in Church’s social history.

Special Delivery Chicken Sandwiches

Church’s was admittedly a year late to the chicken sandwich wars. To address that, we launched a campaign called “Thanks for Waiting” celebrating the patience of our fans and the time it took to “perfect” Church’s sandwich. For launch, we thanked some of our biggest fans and deserving organizations with surprise deliveries in a custom built chicken sandwich delivery truck. The truck was filled with hot and ready sandwiches and outfitted with a 4-foot tall, hand-carved sandwich and a custom ice cream truck-style jingle. People were genuinely shocked at the truck and how good the sandwich actually was.
